Erstaunlicherweise sind diese Ger\u00e4usche unter der Wasseroberfl\u00e4che au\u00dfergew\u00f6hnlich laut und k\u00f6nnen m\u00f6glicherweise auch zur <strong>\u00dcberwachung der Gletscherschmelze<\/strong> genutzt werden.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Gletscher\" alt=\"Gletscher\" src=\"http:\/\/www.wetter-center.de\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/06\/gletscher.jpg\" width=\"280\" align=\"left\" hspace=\"5\" \/>Die Forscher fanden heraus, dass die Ger\u00e4usche vor allem durch <strong>oszillierende Luftbl\u00e4schen<\/strong> verursacht werden, die im Eis eingeschlossen waren und durch das Schmelzen freigesetzt werden. Die Bl\u00e4schen schwingen dabei mit einer Frequenz die umgekehrt proportional zu ihrer Gr\u00f6\u00dfe ist: je kleiner die Blase, desto h\u00f6her der Ton. Die Forscher ma\u00dfen Frequenzen zwischen <strong>1 und 3 kHz<\/strong>, das ist ein f\u00fcr Menschen sehr gut wahrnehmbarer Frequenzbereich.<\/p>\n<p>Wissenschaftlern ist lange bekannt, wie diese Luftbl\u00e4schen in den Gletschern entstehen. Zun\u00e4chst wird Luft vom gefallenen Schnee eingeschlossen, der durch das Gewicht weiteren Schnees zusammengepresst und in Eis umgewandelt wird. Die Luftbl\u00e4schen werden dabei unter Druck gesetzt. Wichtig f\u00fcr die M\u00f6glichkeit der \u00dcberwachung der <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wetter-center.de\/blog\/?p=582\">Gletscherschmelze<\/a> durch die Ger\u00e4uschmessung ist die Tatsache, dass die Luftbl\u00e4schen gleichm\u00e4\u00dfig im Eis verteilt sind.<\/p>\n<p>Da sich T\u00f6ne unter Wasser \u00fcber lange Strecken ausbreiten, k\u00f6nnten <strong>Mikrofone<\/strong> auch weit entfernt von unstabilen Eiskanten positioniert werden, um die kurzfristigen Auswirkungen von Wetterereignissen, jahreszeitliche Ver\u00e4nderungen sowie Langzeittrends bei der Gletscherschmelze zu \u00fcberwachen.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Forscher der Universit\u00e4ten von Alaska und Texas haben die Ger\u00e4usche untersucht, die schmelzende Gletscher im Meer verursachen.
