Das Jahresmittel 2012 der Temperatur lag in Alaska bei -0.9\u00b0C und damit beachtliche <strong>1,4 Grad unter dem Normalwert<\/strong> der Periode 1981-2010.<\/p>\n<p>Alaska steht damit in deutlichem Kontrast zu den 48 anderen US-Staaten auf dem nordamerikanischen Kontinent, wo im Jahre 2012 Rekordtemperaturen gemessen wurden. Nur an einer von 20 Klimareferenzstationen in Alaska wurde im letzten Jahr eine <strong>positive <\/strong>Temperaturabweichung gemessen, und zwar ganz im Norden an der K\u00fcste in <strong>Barrow<\/strong>. Wegen des stark <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wetter-center.de\/blog\/?p=618\">zur\u00fcckgegangenen Meereises<\/a> in dieser Region wurden dort im Oktober ganze <strong>5,7 Grad \u00fcber dem Normalwert<\/strong> gemessen.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.wetter-center.de\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/regionallanomregion2.jpg\" alt=\"Eisbedeckung im Beringmeer\" title=\"Eisbedeckung im Beringmeer\" width=\"470\" style=\"width: 470px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Die gr\u00f6\u00dften <strong>negativen<\/strong> Abweichungen mit -2,8 Grad wurden dagegen in Bethel und King Salmon am <a href=\"http:\/\/de.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Beringmeer\" target=\"_blank\">Beringmeer<\/a> gemessen. Die Ursache liegt dabei im <strong>Meereis<\/strong>: W\u00e4hrend es ganz im Norden zur\u00fcckgeht, nimmt das Meereis am Beringmeer in den letzten zehn Jahren <strong>deutlich zu<\/strong>, wie die schwarze Linie in der obigen Abbildung zeigt (Quelle: <a href=\"http:\/\/arctic.atmos.uiuc.edu\/cryosphere\/\" target=\"_blank\">Cryosphere Today<\/a>). Dies hat Auswirkungen auf das Wetter in fast ganz Alaska. So wurden im Jahre 2012 zahlreiche neue K\u00e4lterekorde aufgestellt, zum Beispiel in Bettles.
