{"id":639,"date":"2012-11-17T23:08:45","date_gmt":"2012-11-17T22:08:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.wetter-center.de\/blog\/?p=639"},"modified":"2012-11-17T23:10:41","modified_gmt":"2012-11-17T22:10:41","slug":"klimawandel-und-durreperioden","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.wetter-center.de\/blog\/klimawandel-und-durreperioden\/","title":{"rendered":"Klimawandel und D\u00fcrreperioden"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Im Jahre 2012 erlebte die USA <a href=\"http:\/\/www.zeit.de\/wirtschaft\/2012-08\/duerre-usa-kansas-farmer\" target=\"_blank\">die schwerste D\u00fcrre seit Jahrzehnten<\/a>, eine <strong>Folge des Klimawandels<\/strong>? Die landl\u00e4ufige Meinung unter Klimaforschern ist bisher, dass die Globale Erw\u00e4rmung zu st\u00e4rkeren und h\u00e4ufigeren <strong>D\u00fcrreperioden<\/strong> f\u00fchren wird. Als Ursachen daf\u00fcr werden einerseits die <strong>Abnahme von Niederschl\u00e4gen<\/strong> in den Sommermonaten, andererseits die <strong>Zunahme der Verdunstung<\/strong> durch h\u00f6here Temperaturen angegeben.<\/p>\n<p>Doch zwei unabh\u00e4ngige Studien des US-amerikanischen Wetterdienstes (NOAA) und der University of Colorado (ver\u00f6ffentlicht im Magazin <a href=\"http:\/\/journals.ametsoc.org\/doi\/abs\/10.1175\/JCLI-D-12-00449.1\" target=\"_blank\">&#8220;Journal of Climate&#8221;<\/a>) sowie der Princeton University und der Australian National University (ver\u00f6ffentlicht im Magazin <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nature.com\/nature\/journal\/v491\/n7424\/full\/nature11575.html\" target=\"_blank\">&#8220;Nature&#8221;<\/a>) zeigen, dass die bisherigen Annahmen \u00fcber zunehmende D\u00fcrreperioden offensichtlich stark \u00fcbertrieben sind.<\/p>\n<p>Der bisher meist verwendete D\u00fcrreindex &#8220;<strong>PDSI<\/strong>&#8221; (<strong>Palmer Drought Severity Index<\/strong>) charakterisiert die St\u00e4rke einer D\u00fcrreperiode, in dem er aktuelle und mehrere Monate zur\u00fcckliegende <strong>Temperaturen <\/strong>und <strong>Niederschlagsmengen<\/strong> ber\u00fccksichtigt. Doch der Index basiert auf einem stark vereinfachten Wasserbilanzmodell und ber\u00fccksichtigt weder den <strong>Energiehaushalt<\/strong> der Erdoberfl\u00e4che, noch <strong>Luftfeuchte<\/strong> oder <strong>Wind<\/strong>. Diese Gr\u00f6\u00dfen sind aber f\u00fcr die Wasserbilanz von gro\u00dfer Bedeutung.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.wetter-center.de\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/nature11575-f12.jpg\" width=\"475\" alt=\"Globaler D\u00fcrreindex PDSI 1950-2008\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Die obere Abbildung zeigt den globalen <strong>D\u00fcrreindex PDSI<\/strong> unter Ber\u00fccksichtigung aller Gr\u00f6\u00dfen (oberer Teil, rote Kurve, <strong>negative<\/strong> Werte bedeuten <strong>trockene Zeiten<\/strong>, positive Werte feuchte Zeiten). Der untere Teil der Abbildung zeigt den prozentualen Anteil der Landfl\u00e4chen mit D\u00fcrre. Man erkennt eine <strong>leichte Zunahme<\/strong> der globalen D\u00fcrreperioden seit den 1960er Jahren bis in die Mitte der <strong>1980er<\/strong> Jahre, danach ist <strong>kein Trend<\/strong> mehr zu erkennen, obwohl die globalen Temperaturen zugenommen haben.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.wetter-center.de\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/conus_phdi_months_1895-2009.png\" data-rel=\"lightbox-image-0\" data-rl_title=\"\" data-rl_caption=\"\" title=\"\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.wetter-center.de\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/conus_phdi_months_1895-2009.png\" width=\"475\" alt=\"D\u00fcrreindex PHDI f\u00fcr die USA, 1895-2009\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Auch ein anderer D\u00fcrreindex, der <strong>&#8220;PHDI&#8221; (Palmer Hydrological Drought Index),<\/strong> der die l\u00e4ngerfristigen hydrologischen Auswirkungen einer D\u00fcrre wie Wasserspeicher und Grundwasserspiegel ber\u00fccksichtigt, zeigt f\u00fcr die USA keinen Trend seit dem Jahre 1895, wie die obere Abbildung zeigt (Quelle: <a href=\"http:\/\/wattsupwiththat.com\/2012\/08\/12\/nasas-james-hansen-is-just-wrong-proof-that-there-is-no-increased-drought-in-the-usa-tied-to-temperature\/\" target=\"_blank\">WhatsUpWithThat.com<\/a> \/ <a href=\"http:\/\/nidis1.ncdc.noaa.gov\/GHCNViewer\/\" target=\"_blank\">National Climate Data Center<\/a>, klicken Sie auf das Bild f\u00fcr eine gro\u00dfe Version).
