Die Wissenschaftler wollten dabei herausfinden, ob man <strong>bestimmte Regionen<\/strong> identifizieren kann, die besonders stark von den <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wetter-center.de\/blog\/?p=298\">steigenden Temperaturen<\/a> betroffen sein werden.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.wetter-center.de\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/01\/080104091616jpg.jpeg\" title=\"Sonne\" alt=\"Sonne\" width=\"250\" align=\"left\" border=\"0\" hspace=\"5\" \/>Motivation f\u00fcr diese Studie ist unter anderem die Hitzewelle in der ersten Augusth\u00e4lfte des Jahres 2003, wo in einigen Regionen Europas H\u00f6chstwerte von <strong>\u00fcber 40\u00b0C<\/strong> erreicht wurden. 40.000 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wetter-center.de\/blog\/?p=182\">Hitzetode<\/a> gab es damals zu beklagen. Es kam zu <strong>Wasserknappheit<\/strong>, Engp\u00e4ssen in der <strong>Energieversorgung<\/strong> und <strong>Ernteausf\u00e4llen<\/strong> in H\u00f6he von gesch\u00e4tzten 13 Milliarden Euro.<\/p>\n<p>Zur Beurteilung der Hitzewellen wurden in der Studie aber nicht nur die <strong>Tagesh\u00f6chsttemperaturen <\/strong>betrachtet, sondern auch die n\u00e4chtlichen <strong>Tiefstwerte, <\/strong>die relative <strong>Feuchte<\/strong> und die <strong>Dauer<\/strong> der Hitzewelle. Sind alle diese vier Werte sehr hoch, besteht ein besonders gro\u00dfes <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wetter-center.de\/blog\/?p=145\">Gesundheitsrisiko<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Alle sechs verwendeten <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wetter-center.de\/blog\/?p=255\">Klimamodelle<\/a> zeigen dabei \u00fcbereinstimmende Ergebnisse: am st\u00e4rksten betroffen werden in der Zukunft s\u00e4mtliche <strong>Flusst\u00e4ler<\/strong> in S\u00fcdeuropa, insbesondere die <strong>Poebene <\/strong>und die untere <strong>Donau<\/strong> sowie <strong>die Mittelmeerk\u00fcste<\/strong>. In diesen Regionen liegen auch einige Gro\u00dfst\u00e4dte, in denen die W\u00e4rmebelastung wegen des Stadteffektes noch h\u00f6her sein wird, zum Beispiel in <strong>Mailand<\/strong>, <strong>Athen <\/strong>oder <strong>Neapel<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Weniger betroffen sein werden Regionen in S\u00fcdeuropa die nicht unmittelbar am Mittelmeer liegen.
