April 2018 um 19:57 Uhr MESZ auf einer Rockot-Tr\u00e4gerrakete aus Plesetsk, Russland in die Umlaufbahn bef\u00f6rdert. Er hat einen identischen Zwilling Sentinel-3A im Orbit. Diese Paarung von Satelliten erh\u00f6ht die Abdeckung und Datenbereitstellung f\u00fcr das Copernicus-Umweltprogramm der Europ\u00e4ischen Union.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.wetter-center.de\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/Sentinel-3_node_full_image_2.jpg\" data-rel=\"lightbox-image-0\" data-rl_title=\"\" data-rl_caption=\"\" title=\"\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-2169\" src=\"http:\/\/www.wetter-center.de\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/Sentinel-3_node_full_image_2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"520\" height=\"293\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.wetter-center.de\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/Sentinel-3_node_full_image_2.jpg 700w, https:\/\/www.wetter-center.de\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/Sentinel-3_node_full_image_2-600x338.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.wetter-center.de\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/Sentinel-3_node_full_image_2-300x169.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 520px) 100vw, 520px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Dies ist der <strong>siebte Start<\/strong> eines Sentinel-Satelliten in den letzten vier Jahren nach den Satelliten\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.wetter-center.de\/blog\/?p=788\">Sentinel-1A und B<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wetter-center.de\/blog\/?p=2044\">Sentinel-2A und B,<\/a>\u00a0Sentinel-3A und <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wetter-center.de\/blog\/?p=2058\">Sentinel-5P<\/a> im Rahmen des weltweit gr\u00f6\u00dften Erdbeobachtungsprogramms namens &#8220;Copernicus&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Das Copernicus-Programm verl\u00e4sst sich auf die Sentinel-Satelliten und weitere Missionen, um eine gro\u00dfe Zahl von Daten zur \u00dcberwachung der <strong>Umwelt<\/strong> und zur Unterst\u00fctzung ziviler <strong>Sicherheitsaktivit\u00e4ten<\/strong> bereitzustellen. Sentinel-3 verf\u00fcgt \u00fcber eine Reihe von hochmodernen Sensoren, die genau dies erm\u00f6glichen.<\/p>\n<p>\u00dcber Ozeanen misst es die <strong>Temperatur, Farbe und H\u00f6he der Meeresoberfl\u00e4che<\/strong> sowie die <strong>Dicke des Meereises<\/strong>. Diese Messungen werden zum Beispiel verwendet, um \u00c4nderungen des Erdklimas zu erforschen. Aber auch f\u00fcr andere Anwendungen wie die \u00dcberwachung der Verschmutzung der Meere werden die Daten genutzt.<\/p>\n<p>\u00dcber Land werden die Daten der beiden Sentinel-3-Satelliten benutzt, um\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.wetter-center.de\/blog\/?p=1550\">Waldbr\u00e4nde<\/a>\u00a0und den allgemeinen Zustand der <strong>Vegetation<\/strong> zu \u00fcberwachen.
