Diese Studie basiert zwar nicht direkt auf Messwerten der Meeresstr\u00f6mungen im Atlantik, sondern kommt indirekt aus Temperaturdaten zu diesem Schluss. Sie ist aber konsistent mit aktuellen Messungen.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.wetter-center.de\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/amoc.jpg\" data-rel=\"lightbox-image-0\" data-rl_title=\"\" data-rl_caption=\"\" title=\"\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-2162\" src=\"http:\/\/www.wetter-center.de\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/amoc.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"520\" height=\"210\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.wetter-center.de\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/amoc.jpg 800w, https:\/\/www.wetter-center.de\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/amoc-600x242.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.wetter-center.de\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/amoc-300x121.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.wetter-center.de\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/amoc-768x310.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 520px) 100vw, 520px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Der <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wetter-center.de\/blog\/?p=528\" rel=\"noopener\">Golfstrom<\/a> ist Teil der Atlantischen meridionalen Umw\u00e4lzzirkulation (AMOC), eines Systems von Meeresstr\u00f6mungen im Nordatlantik (siehe Abbildung oben,\u00a0Quelle: J. A. Chruch, Science 317, 908 (2007)). Die Studie des PIK kommt zu dem Ergebnis, dass diese Str\u00f6mung seit Mitte des 20. Jahrhunderts um <strong>etwa 15 Prozent langsamer<\/strong> geworden ist. Eine Verlangsamung des Golfstroms k\u00f6nnte f\u00fcr Europa <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wetter-center.de\/blog\/?p=1617\">k\u00e4ltere Winter<\/a> bewirken.<\/p>\n<p>Die Studie schlie\u00dft von den <strong>Temperaturverh\u00e4ltnissen<\/strong> an der Meeresoberfl\u00e4che mit Hilfe eines hochaufgel\u00f6sten Klimamodells auf die <strong>Str\u00f6mungsverh\u00e4ltnisse<\/strong> im Atlantik.\u00a0Die beobachtete Abk\u00fchlung im subpolaren Atlantik und die Erw\u00e4rmung in der Golfstromregion kann dem Modell zufolge, nur durch die Verlangsamung der Meeresstr\u00f6mung als Reaktion auf die steigende Konzentrationen von Kohlendioxid in der Atmosph\u00e4re erkl\u00e4rt werden.<\/p>\n<p>Direkte <strong>Messungen<\/strong> der Meeresstr\u00f6mung im Rahmen des\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.rapid.ac.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">RAPID-Projektes<\/a>\u00a0best\u00e4tigen die Ergebnisse der Studie. Seit 2004 wird die Str\u00f6mungsgeschwindigkeit im Atlantik entlang des Breitengrades 26\u00b0N gemessen. Auch diese Daten zeigen einen allm\u00e4hlichen R\u00fcckgang der Flie\u00dfgeschwindigkeit um etwa 1,5% pro Jahr.
