Wie alle Sentinel-Satelliten ist auch dieser\u00a0Teil des europ\u00e4ischen <a href=\"http:\/\/www.d-copernicus.de\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Copernicus-Programms<\/a> zur Erderkundung. Die Daten aller Sentinel-Satelliten sind frei im Internet verf\u00fcgbar.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.esa.int\/spaceinvideos\/content\/view\/embedjw\/489587\" width=\"525\" height=\"310\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Sentinel-5 Precursor, kurz &#8220;Sentinel-5P&#8221;, ist der erste Satellit des Copernicus-Programms, der sich der \u00dcberwachung unserer Atmosph\u00e4re widmet. Auf dem Satelliten befindet sich das hochmoderne Tropomi-Spektrometer, das vom All aus die Konzentration von <strong>Spurengasen<\/strong> wie Stickstoffdioxid, Ozon, Formaldehyd, Schwefeldioxid, Methan und Kohlenmonoxid sowie von Aerosolen erfassen kann.<\/p>\n<p>Mit einer Aufzeichnungsbreite von 2600 km kann Sentinel-5P jeden Tag den gesamten Planeten abbilden. Diese Daten werden von dem <strong>Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service<\/strong> (<a href=\"http:\/\/atmosphere.copernicus.eu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CAMS<\/a>) f\u00fcr die globale Prognose der Luftqualit\u00e4t genutzt. Das Tropomi-Spektrometer kann die Atmosph\u00e4re der gesamten Erde jeden Tag mit einer Aufl\u00f6sung von bis zu 7 km abbilden und damit die Luftverschmutzung \u00fcber Gro\u00dfst\u00e4dten in aller Welt \u00fcberwachen.<\/p>\n<p>Der Satellit kann auch zur \u00dcberwachung von <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wetter-center.de\/blog\/?p=295\"><strong>Vulkanasche<\/strong><\/a>-Wolken genutzt werden und ist somit auch f\u00fcr die Flugsicherheit von Nutzen. Desweiteren k\u00f6nnen aus den Ozon-Messungen Warnungen vor hoher UV-Strahlung abgeleitet werden. Wissenschaftler werden die Daten nutzen, um unser Wissen \u00fcber die Bildung von L\u00f6chern in der <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.wetter-center.de\/blog\/?p=663\">Ozonschicht<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>sowie den Einfluss von <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.wetter-center.de\/blog\/?p=696\">Methan<\/a> <\/strong>auf unser Klimasystem zu verbessern.<\/p>\n<p>Sentinel-5P ist das Ergebnis einer engen Zusammenarbeit zwischen der europ\u00e4ischen Raumfahrtbeh\u00f6rde ESA, der Europ\u00e4ischen Kommission, dem niederl\u00e4ndischen Weltraumb\u00fcro, der Industrie, den Datennutzern und Wissenschaftlern.
