{"id":1839,"date":"2017-04-02T17:47:41","date_gmt":"2017-04-02T15:47:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.wetter-center.de\/blog\/?p=1839"},"modified":"2017-04-02T17:48:23","modified_gmt":"2017-04-02T15:48:23","slug":"satelliten-erkunden-eis-von-groenland","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.wetter-center.de\/blog\/satelliten-erkunden-eis-von-groenland\/","title":{"rendered":"Satelliten erkunden Gr\u00f6nlands Eis"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Seit dem Jahr 1992 wird mit Radar-Satelliten global die H\u00f6he der Land- und Eisoberfl\u00e4che vermessen, damit lassen sich zum Beispiel die <strong>Eisschilde in Gr\u00f6nland<\/strong> \u00fcberwachen.\u00a0Diese sogenannten &#8222;Altimetrie-Missionen&#8220; nutzen Daten der Satelliten\u00a0ERS-1, ERS-2, Envisat und CryoSat-2 und haben so zu einer ununterbrochenen Zeitreihe gef\u00fchrt. Zurzeit liefern\u00a0zwei\u00a0ESA-Missionen H\u00f6hendaten von der\u00a0Eisdecke\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.wetter-center.de\/blog\/?p=306\">Gr\u00f6nland<\/a>s: <a href=\"https:\/\/de.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/CryoSat-2\" target=\"_blank\">Cryosat-2<\/a> und <a href=\"https:\/\/de.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Sentinel-3\" target=\"_blank\">Sentinel-3a<\/a> stellen sicher, dass die Zeitreihen fortgesetzt werden.<\/p>\n<p>Die \u00c4nderung der Oberfl\u00e4chenh\u00f6he ist direkt mit der <strong>Massenbilanz des Eisschildes<\/strong> verbunden. Sie ist ein direktes Ma\u00df f\u00fcr das Ungleichgewicht zwischen Atmosph\u00e4re und Eisschild und daher ein wichtiger Klimaindikator. Die folgende Abbildung zeigt die \u00c4nderung der H\u00f6he des gr\u00f6nl\u00e4ndischen Eisschildes im Zeitraum 2011 bis 2016. Die Daten sind frei verf\u00fcgbar im Internet zug\u00e4nglich auf der Seite des\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/products.esa-icesheets-cci.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Greenland Ice Sheet CCI Projects<\/a>:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-1840\" src=\"http:\/\/www.wetter-center.de\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/greenland_surface_elevation_change_cryosat2_v2_1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"510\" height=\"772\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.wetter-center.de\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/greenland_surface_elevation_change_cryosat2_v2_1.png 527w, https:\/\/www.wetter-center.de\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/greenland_surface_elevation_change_cryosat2_v2_1-198x300.png 198w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 510px) 100vw, 510px\" \/>&#8211;<\/p>\n<p>Die Abbildung zeigt, dass das\u00a0gr\u00f6nl\u00e4ndischen Eisschild an den <strong>R\u00e4ndern<\/strong> fast \u00fcberall d\u00fcnner geworden ist, zur Mitte ist jedoch oft\u00a0das Gegenteil der Fall. Mit Hilfe von Satelliten l\u00e4sst sich\u00a0neben der Eisdicke auch die <strong>Flie\u00dfgeschwindigkeit<\/strong> der <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wetter-center.de\/blog\/?p=887\">Gletscher<\/a>\u00a0ableiten. Dies ist ein relativ kompliziertes Verfahren, bei dem Daten von Radar- und optischen Satelliten kombiniert werden.<\/p>\n<p>Aus der Flie\u00dfgeschwindigkeit kann zudem auf die <strong>Deformationsrate<\/strong> des Eises geschlossen werden.
