Die New York Times berichtete <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/aponline\/2009\/03\/19\/science\/AP-AS-Tonga-Volcano.html?_r=1\" target=\"_blank\">gestern in ihrer Online-Ausgabe<\/a> dar\u00fcber. Auf Youtube ist dieses Video vom Ausbruch zu finden:<\/p>\n<p><object width=\"470\" height=\"295\"><param name=\"movie\" value=\"http:\/\/www.youtube-nocookie.com\/v\/b5-AaMAZ94w&#038;hl=de&#038;fs=1\"><\/param><param name=\"allowFullScreen\" value=\"true\"><\/param><param name=\"allowscriptaccess\" value=\"always\"><\/param><embed src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube-nocookie.com\/v\/b5-AaMAZ94w&#038;hl=de&#038;fs=1\" type=\"application\/x-shockwave-flash\" allowscriptaccess=\"always\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" width=\"470\" height=\"295\"><\/embed><\/object><\/p>\n<p>Auch der <a href=\"http:\/\/aqua.nasa.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\">Aqua-Satellit der NASA<\/a> konnte das Schauspiel aufnehmen, wenn auch nicht ganz so spektakul\u00e4r:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/earthobservatory.nasa.gov\/NaturalHazards\/view.php?id=37572\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.wetter-center.de\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/03\/tonga.jpg\" title=\"Unterwasservulkan vor Tonga\" alt=\"Unterwasservulkan vor Tonga\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Der Vulkanausbruch erscheint hier als heller Fleck in der Mitte des Bildes. Die Region um den Vulkan ist blau-gr\u00fcn, da das Wasser hier von <strong>aufgewirbelten Sedimenten<\/strong> gef\u00e4rbt ist. Nordwestlich der blau-gr\u00fcnen Region erkennt man bei genauem Hinsehen eine <strong>br\u00e4unliche, girlandemf\u00f6rmige Struktur<\/strong>. Dies ist vermutlich <strong>Bimsstein<\/strong>, der aufgrund seiner hochpor\u00f6sen Struktur auf dem Wasser eine Art Fl\u00f6\u00dfe bildet.<\/p>\n<p>Der ausgebroche Vulkan ist Teil des <a href=\"http:\/\/de.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Pazifischer_Feuerring\" target=\"_blank\">Pazifischen Feuerrings<\/a>, einem Vulkang\u00fcrtel, der fast den gesamten Pazifischen Ozean umgibt.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Am 18.
