Die Bilder sollen als offizielle <strong>Referenzfotos<\/strong> f\u00fcr die Klassifizierung von Wolken dienen. Professionelle Meteorologen, Wetterbeobachter, aber auch Hobbyfotografen sind aufgefordert, hochaufl\u00f6sende Farbbilder aller Arten von Wolken und Meteoren einzureichen, zusammen mit Informationen, wie wo und wann das Foto aufgenommen wurde und eine Beschreibung der Wetterlage.<\/p>\n<p>Die Fotos k\u00f6nnen <a href=\"http:\/\/wmoica.org\/index.php\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\">auf dieser vom\u00a0Hong Kong Observatory im Auftrag der WMO betriebenen Website<\/a>\u00a0bis zum Ende des Jahres 2015 eingereicht werden.\u00a0Die Fotos werden anschlie\u00dfend von einem\u00a0internationalen Team ausgewertet.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.wetter-center.de\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/7469924134_42996931fd_z.jpg\" data-rel=\"lightbox-image-0\" data-rl_title=\"\" data-rl_caption=\"\" title=\"\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-1390\" src=\"http:\/\/www.wetter-center.de\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/7469924134_42996931fd_z.jpg\" alt=\"Stratocumulus undulatus asperitas\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.wetter-center.de\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/7469924134_42996931fd_z.jpg 640w, https:\/\/www.wetter-center.de\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/7469924134_42996931fd_z-600x450.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.wetter-center.de\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/7469924134_42996931fd_z-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Der Internationale Wolkenatlas ist das Standardwerk\u00a0f\u00fcr die weltweiten\u00a0Wolkenbeobachtungen der nationalen Wetterdienste. Es wird weltweit als\u00a0Trainingsmaterial f\u00fcr Meteorologen genutzt,\u00a0aber auch in Luftfahrt und\u00a0Schifffahrt.\u00a0Es ist aber\u00a0auch sehr beliebt bei Hobby-Meteorologen und Fotografen.\u00a0Die Wurzeln des Internationalen Wolkenatlas liegen im\u00a019. Jahrhundert. Die Internationale Meteorologische Konferenz, Vorl\u00e4ufer der WMO, ver\u00f6ffentlichte die erste Ausgabe\u00a0mit 28 farbigen Abbildungen im Jahre 1896.<\/p>\n<p>Die\u00a0aktuelle\u00a0Ausgabe, <a href=\"http:\/\/library.wmo.int\/opac\/index.php?lvl=notice_display&amp;id=5358#.VhGOBuztmko\" target=\"_blank\">die hier online erh\u00e4ltlich ist<\/a>, hat zwei B\u00e4nde und wurde urspr\u00fcnglich im Jahre <strong>1956<\/strong> ver\u00f6ffentlicht und zuletzt <strong>1987 aktualisiert<\/strong>. Band I ist ein detailliertes technisches Handbuch. Band II enth\u00e4lt rund <strong>220 Fotografien<\/strong> von\u00a0Wolken und anderen Meteoren wie\u00a0Niederschlagsarten, Dunst und Nebel oder Regenbogen und Blitze.\u00a0Jedes Foto wird von einem erl\u00e4uternden Text begleitet.\u00a0In Zukunft wird es nur noch einen Band geben.<\/p>\n<p>Das aktuelle\u00a0System der Wolkenklassifizierung stammt aus dem Jahr 1803 und wurde von dem Amateur-Meteorologen Luc Howard konzipiert. Darin gibt es zehn Wolkengattungen, die auf Wolkenh\u00f6he und Entstehungsart basieren:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Hohe Wolken (CH): <strong>Cirrus, Cirrocumulus, Cirrostratus<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Mittelhohe\u00a0Wolken (CM): <strong>Altocumulus, Altostratus,\u00a0Nimbostratus<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Tiefe\u00a0Wolken (CL): <strong>Stratocumulus, Stratus, Cumulus<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Vertikel m\u00e4chtige Wolken: <strong>Cumulonimbus<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Diese Gattungen sind dann weiter in 14 Arten und\u00a09 Unterarten unterteilt, wodurch sich etwa 100 verschiedene Kombination ergeben.<\/p>\n<p>Der neue Wolkenatlas wird eine <strong>neue Art<\/strong> namens &#8220;<strong>Volutus<\/strong>&#8221; (gerollte Wolke) enthalten.
