November endete die Rekord-<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/de.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Atlantische_Hurrikansaison_2020\" target=\"_blank\">Hurrikansaison 2020<\/a> im Atlantik. Die Abfolge starker St\u00fcrme l\u00e4sst erahnen, worauf wir uns wahrscheinlich in Zukunft einstellen m\u00fcssen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Eine Kombination aus w\u00e4rmeren Ozeanen, durch La Nina ausgel\u00f6sten Zirkulationsmustern und einer ungew\u00f6hnlich starken afrikanischen Monsunsaison f\u00fchrte zu den <strong>30 tropischen St\u00fcrmen und Hurrikanen<\/strong>, die sich im Jahr 2020 bildeten &#8211; <strong>mehr als das Doppelte<\/strong> des langfristigen Durchschnitts und der h\u00f6chste Wert seit Anfang der Beobachtungen im Jahr 1851. 12 St\u00fcrme trafen die USA, ebenfalls eine Rekordzahl. Bei 10 St\u00fcrmen wurde zudem auf ihrer Zugbahn eine schlagartige Verst\u00e4rkung beobachtet, eine Entwicklung, die m\u00f6glicherweise in Zukunft h\u00e4ufiger auftreten wird.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.wetter-center.de\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/1024px-Six_Tropical_Systems_Swirl_Around_Two_Oceans_50342098013.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-11714\" width=\"700\" height=\"400\"\/><figcaption>Die Tropenst\u00fcrme Paulette, Rene, Sally, Teddy und Vicky \u00fcber dem Atlantik sowie Karina \u00fcber dem Pazifik (ganz links) am 14.09.2020. (Quelle: NOAA)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Louisiana, Mexiko, Nicaragua und Honduras wurden <strong>mehrfach getroffen<\/strong>, da einige St\u00fcrme \u00e4hnliche Wege einschlugen. In Mittelamerika haben Hurrikane Hunderte von Menschen get\u00f6tet, Tausende vertrieben und die Ernte dezimiert. Im Nordosten der USA lie\u00df <strong>Hurrikan Isaias<\/strong> mehr als 1 Million Menschen bis zu einer Woche lang ohne Strom, w\u00e4hrend der <strong>Hurrikan Laura<\/strong> ganze St\u00e4dte an der Golfk\u00fcste lahm legte.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Das Jahr brachte so viele St\u00fcrme mit sich, dass die Namen auf der offiziellen Liste zu Ende gingen und zur Bezeichnung neuer St\u00fcrme auf das griechische Alphabet zur\u00fcckgegriffen werden musste. Das ist bisher nur einmal passiert: im Jahr <strong>2005<\/strong>. Im Jahr 2020 mussten allerdings noch mehr griechische Buchstaben genutzt werden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>Eine der treibenden Kr\u00e4fte in diesem Jahr war <strong>La Ni\u00f1a<\/strong>, das Gegenteil von <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wetter-center.de\/blog\/klimawandel-el-nino-verandert-sich\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"340\">El Ni\u00f1o<\/a>, einer Zirkulationsanomalie im Pazifischen Ozean, das das Wetter in gro\u00dfen Teilen der Welt beeinflussen kann. La Ni\u00f1a ist st\u00e4rker geworden als erwartet und hat die <strong>Windscherung <\/strong>\u00fcber dem Atlantik abgeschw\u00e4cht, was das Wachstum von St\u00fcrmen beg\u00fcnstigt. Im Jahr 2020 wurden zudem rekordverd\u00e4chtige <strong>Meeresoberfl\u00e4chentemperaturen<\/strong> registriert, was ebenfalls die Entwicklung von starken Hurrikanen befl\u00fcgelt.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In den USA leben mehr als 60 Millionen Menschen im Bereich der Zugbahn der Hurrikane. Einige der am schnellsten wachsenden Regionen liegen entlang der gef\u00e4hrdeten Golfk\u00fcste, die in diesem Jahr neun Mal getroffen wurde. Entlang der Atlantik- und Golfk\u00fcste der USA sind bis zu 7,3 Millionen Haushalte von Sturmfluten bedroht.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Da St\u00fcrme in einem w\u00e4rmeren Klima mehr Feuchtigkeit halten k\u00f6nnen und der Meeresspiegel ansteigt, sind die Menschen an den K\u00fcsten der USA, Mexikos, der Karibik und Mittelamerikas in Zukunft einem erh\u00f6hten Risiko durch St\u00fcrme ausgesetzt.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Am 30.
